Years ago I had my parents' old home movies transferred to VHS thinking to preserve them and see them again. The VHS tapes that were produced by another company were terrible; very little was recaptured and most of the tapes were blank. Based on that experience I was hesitant to try again, especially as the 8mm film rolls had only gotten older. I read about Digmypics, their pricing seemed very reasonable and I loved the guarantee so I figured it was worth a shot. Out of 900 feet of film, they recaptured 750 feet and I was astounded. The service was not only excellent quality considering the source (the 8mm film was at least 50 years old!) but they were professional, helpful on the phone and fast. Absolutely and highly recommend this company; if they can't do it, it can't be done.

We had old 8mm films taken by my grandfather almost 60 years ago. They had been poorly stored and neglected for over half a century, yet digmypics did a wonderful job of transferring them. The barely lit interior scenes are bright enough that we can see everyone's face while the sunny beach scenes are not washed out. The speed at which people walk, dance, run around, and play (which was always a problem with 8mm - even when just using a projector back in the stone age) is natural. The DVDs they delivered allow our whole family to watch on any computer or television anywhere. All in all they did a terrific job and I would highly recommend them.

In 1974, I took two pictures of my wife on a camping trip. They were extemporaneous shots, catching her off-guard, and in rare poses. Just after I took them, I looked down and saw that somehow the aperture setting had been knocked off its designated place, grossly over-exposing the two shots. I knew from the beginning that the margin of error on Kodak slide film was narrow. The lab that developed the roll confirmed my fears: There was no way to obtain a suitable print, much less an enlargement. So I waited--42 years--and recently attended a digital photography seminar at the University of Houston, where they suggested trying digital scanning for similar situations. I rounded up a bunch of slides, including those two, and sent them off to digmypics. Service was first rate, and they managed to restore both pictures to an enlargeable state. Money well spent!!

Thanks for a great job on my admittedly small order! I had 47 35mm slides from over 55 years ago, representing some of the earliest shots of my Mom & Dad and our extended family. These photos are a treasure for my sister and me. Your process was easy to follow, fast, and I especially like the "preview" option online before finalizing the disks. Digmypics did a wonderful job transferring a collection of slides to a cd for me. The slides were 50-60 years old and the digital photos are beautiful! The addition of the thumbnail booklet makes it easy to find the image on the cd. An importantly, the order was done and delivered in just about two weeks! I am thrilled with my order.

I have 921 slides that were taken from July of 1965 to June of 1970. It was a big order and I wondered if they were worth the clean up, but believe me I am so happy that that I did this. You have done a beautiful job and these pictures will be treasured as long as I live. You have done all that you said you would and more. I had over 70 slides I wanted to convert to digital pictures. The process was easy and the timeline was acceptable. I received my downloadable pictures quickly and also the disks I requested were sent with the return of my slides. The most amazing part of the process was when I contacted Bailey & Ashley in customer service. They were both very helpful and were able to accommodate my request. I highly recommend digmypics for you digital needs.

I needed fast turnaround on some slides, negatives, and 8mm film scanning to prepare for a memorial service. DigMyPics got my items on Friday, and I was able to download all my final electronic images and videos by end of day on the following Tuesday. Everyone I worked with was very helpful and friendly, including Ashley and Robyn. I am very happy with the quality of the images, especially considering the fast turnaround. I will use DigMyPics again for future digitizing needs, and will recommend their services to anyone!
