I just had my first order of videotapes digitized by DigMyPics, and I have to say, these guys are great! I’m a bit of a perfectionist and also a former video professional, so my standards are fairly exacting. Customer service has been highly responsive and I’ve also been able to confer with a technician over the phone to ensure best results. I’ve felt in good and caring hands throughout the process. This first order of mine consisted entirely of Betamax tapes, all between about 25 and 43 years old, including some dubs of reel to reel videotape productions made 50 years ago! I took the precaution of baking all the tapes before sending them off to DigMyPics, but just the same, the results well exceeded my expectations for such old and degraded media. By way of comparison, earlier I'd commissioned a local, custom facility to digitize some of these very same tapes and, although they tried hard and reputably broke two Betamax VCRs in the doing, their ability to ensure proper playback fell way short of what DigMyPics was able to accomplish at a fraction of the cost! Quite frankly, some of the results are astounding … having resurrected old tapes with time-base tracking errors and physical deterioration to produce quite acceptable looking mp3’s. The only issue was an incompatibility with iMovie, the Mac video editing program, requiring that I use an app like HandBrake to convert the DigMyPics mp3 files to a different codec for optimal use on a Mac. Given this snag, I rate DigMyPics a 9.5 out of 10 and will gladly use them for all future digitizing needs.

I could not be more pleased with the work of Digmypics. I submitted about 100 slides to be digitized. The process was easy to follow, even for someone with little computer savvy. When I called with a question, a human voice answered with kindness and patience. The slides were returned, packaged just as when I sent them, along with the thumb drive. Excellent service. I highly recommend Digmypics.

I have used DigMyPics on numerous occasions to preserve / convert everything from 35mm slides, 4x5 color negatives, 8mm and VHS video tapes into digital formats. Every order has been handled to perfection! I am very pleased with this organization. As I encounter more material to convert I will not hesitate to go straight to DigMyPics for their professional care and work.

The transfer of my High 8 Tapes was great! I had two Flash Drives made for each of My Grand Kids. Their last T-Ball and Soft Ball Games of 2013. I am confident they will also like them. The other Tape converted was of My Grand Kids Great Grand Parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. This happened prior to their Birth so I am confident they will also appreciate the Anniversary Event. I sent out 10 VHS and compact tapes to be digitized. The staff treated our tapes with care, did a great job with the conversion and making sure the tracking and other issues were corrected. They were upfront about a couple of tapes that had issues and not all content could be recovered, but they got a lot and I am grateful for that. I had a question regarding one tape and staff responded very quickly and appropriately. I definitely recommend this service and will use them again in the future.

I’m extremely pleased about how well my older media ( 50 years old into exquisite photos. It provides a historical account of our Pacific Northwest Geography and Development. As well as my extensive exposure and Coverage of these areas. I’m very thrilled of how well Digmypics processed as well how well they cared for my 1,150 slides. I’m throughly amazed and pleased. I don’t know how the staff did but it sure was very professionally accomplished. Thank you so much

I was almost in tears when I started watching the first video of my parents so long ago. I sent four 8mm film rolls to digmypics and they sent back to me precious memories. The quality of each film is amazing. This company is wonderful, so glad I found them! I will be sending them more treasures to open up for me.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of the work performed by DigMyPics. I sent them the 35 mm negatives from our 1996 wedding. The company digitized all 141 frames and the digital images are as clear and crisp as the original photos. They also returned my negatives (not all companies do that) and provided a thumb drive with the tiff files. I was also emailed a link that enabled me to download all the jpeg files. In addition, before completing the project, they sent emails updating me on the status of my order. I highly recommend this company and am sure that I will be a repeat customer.

We sent in a 10 tape box recently. The process took about 3 1/2 weeks which was not a surprise since they told us this in advance. I did not have any real expectations for tapes that were anywhere from 20-40 years old and had been sitting around under our bed. I have to say that the quality of the videos exceeded my expectations. I really didn't see any degradation in the videos even over that many years. We were very happy with the results and plan on using digmypics for some of our remaining tapes. Thanks so much!
