Some Facts about APS film scanning
APS film must be in the APS cartridge to be scanned, the film will be returned
in the cartridge.
We can scan 15, 25 and 40 exposure (not all companies can do the 40 exposure
cartridges).
We do not incorporate metadata information, however, you can provide a title for
each APS canister which we will use as the Folder and image prefix name. If you
do not provide a title we will use the canister #.
We don't develop APS film
so your film must have already been developed before sending it to us.
How do I know if it my cartridge is developed?
To determine if your APS film is developed look at the end of the
cartridge, you will see numbered symbols 1 thru 4. If the film is developed the
tab will be at #4.
At what resolution do you scan APS Film ?
We scan all APS film at 4000 dpi.
Based on the size of APS film your
image will be approx 4700x2700, which means you could print 8x10 at 300 dpi.
What about the
APS panoramic photos? Will those scan correctly?
Yes.
The panoramic format will scan correctly and you'll get the full image.
