What Is Expo?

Expo is our online photo storage service. It allows you to share your images with family and friends, order Kodak products, and keep your high resolution images safely backed up online.

We developed Expo as a reaction to so many of our customers asking, "How long will you keep my images on file?". We realized that our customers wanted the security of having their images backed up to a safe, redundant storage service outside of their homes. Expo allows you to store an unlimited amount of high resolution images for a low yearly subscription fee. We developed Expo as an interactive web site, where you can also add captions and descriptions to your photos, order prints and gifts through our partnership with Kodak, and share your images with family and friends. We automatically sign all of our scanning customers up for a 14 day free trial, so they can try out the service. Many find that they enjoy the convenience of having access to their images online, and the peace of mind from knowing they are secure.

Why Is Online Storage Important?

Online redundant storage means your images are safely and  securely stored in multiple locations online and are accessible to you anytime you have access to the Internet.

While we think it is a great idea to have your images backed up on a hard drive and on discs, you can't beat the added protection of online storage. Subscribing to a safe, redundant, online storage service like Expo means that your images are stored on multiple hard drives, so that there is no danger of losing images if a hard drive fails, a disc is lost, or a disc is no longer readable. We store your images on Amazon's servers, who offers this professional service to companies who are in need of large amounts of redundant storage. Having your images on Expo also means your images can be easily organized, documented, shared, searched, and enjoyed.

What Are Expo's Features?

We are adding great new features to Expo all the time. Here are some highlights.

  • Choose your own domain name.
You are able to choose your own URL (example: brooksfamily@digmypics.com), which you can send to your family and friends so that they can see your pictures. You can even set a password to your domain so that only people that have the password can view your images online.
  • Upload or email your own images.
You can take advantage of Expo's unlimited storage to upload or email pictures from your digital camera, camera phone, or even images that you have scanned on your own.
  • Customize how you view your images.
You have your choice of thumbnail sizes and layouts. You can view all of your images at once, by album name, or by scanning order.
  • Order Prints and Photo Gifts from Kodak.
With our partnership with Kodak, you can order prints of many sizes and also photo gifts like mugs, T-shirts, and puzzles right from Expo.
  • Organize your images.
Make new albums where you can organize by date, event, or subject. You can also add captions and descriptions to each image. It's all searchable, so keywords are easy to find later.

How Can I Share My Images with Friends and Family?

Half the fun is being able to share your memories! Expo makes it easy!

Expo gives you the option of making your own domain name like johnsmith@digmypics.com. You can then email your domain name to friends and family so that they can enjoy your images too. Expo also allows you to set a password to your web site, so that only people who know the password can view your images. Often times our customers would like to give certain family members or friends the ability to login to their account to make changes, like add captions, organize, or upload additional images to their account.

How Long is my Free Trial?

Our Scanning customers are automatically signed up for a 14 day free trial. Of course, there is no obligation to purchase.

We will keep your images up on Expo for 14 days after your scanning order ships back to you. We want to give you time to see what you can do with Expo. You can activate your subscription at any time during the trial period by choosing the My Account tab, and clicking the Click Here to Order or Renew Link. When the trial period is almost up, we will send you an email asking if you would like to sign up. If you choose not to, your images will automatically be deleted from our servers after the trial period is up. Please note that for repeat customers who order Expo, we will not have access to previous orders (you will need to upload those images from your discs), but once you order the Expo service your current and future orders will automatically be uploaded to Expo for as long as you keep your subscription.
