What Is A Slideshow DVD Movie?

It's a great way to watch old photos and slides.  Not sure how a Slideshow Movie DVD is different than a regular DVD data disc with your images on it? Read on..  

A DVD is a storage disc, just like a CD. It can hold all sorts of file types such as pictures, text documents, music, and movies. A DVD has become linked to watching movies because until recently, a DVD was the best option for distributing movies.

However, ordering a DVD does not automatically make the files on that DVD movies suitable for watching on your TV. This is because you also need the right kind of file to be on the DVD to make it play as a movie. 

When you order scanning services, you choose if you want your image files in TIFF or JPEG format. The JPEG and TIFF file formats are the most popular file types for images, and allow you to look at your images on your computer, make reprints, burn copies of your image, email, there are many uses, but they are not movie files.

• You can have as much or as little help as you want. If you have an artistic vision of what you would like your slideshow to look like, give us a call and ask to speak to a videographer about your slideshow movie project, and we'll help you plan and make recommendations.

How Do I Get Started?

Click
Fill out the order form on our website. 

Print
Print the mailing label. Want to use FedEx? It's built right in to our website. Our partnership with FedEx allows us to pass down a 10% FedEx discount on labels you print through our us.  You can even schedule FedEx to come to your door and retreive your boxes of photos and bring them to us.

Organize and Label
If desired, group your photos and clearly label the groups with a name and the order that you would wish them to appear. Visit our Getting Ready page for some guidelines.

Don't have time to organize?  No problem. Just send us your box or boxes of photos and well take care of it for you.

Ship
Carefully pack up your photos and ship them to us. Visit our Shipping Tips page for suggestions.  We'll let you know as soon as we receive them.

Once we finish processing your photos you're able to view all of your photos on our website. We then ship everything back to you.
