What Are My Print Scanning Options?

We offer a lot of different options so you can customize the process to your needs. Visit our Getting Ready page for tips on how to start getting your prints ready to archive. You are encouraged to give us a call or send us an email so we can discuss those options with you and ensure you are getting exactly what you are expecting.

DigMyPics offers two levels of print scanning; Economy and Archival.  Choose the service and price that suits your needs.  Our Economy Print Scanning Service is a cost effective way to get your old pictures on your new Digital Picture Frame, for instance.

  • Have your scanned images stored on CDs, DVDs data discs, SD Memory Card or all of the above.


  • Choose a resolution of 300, or 600 dpi
  • for your prints. Both of these resolutions result in high quality scans, but beware! More isn't always better! Select a DPI that fits your project goals. Learn more about resolution and dpi on our Resolving Resolution page, or contact us! We'll be happy to help!

  • With our Archival Print Scanning Service, We scan and enhance all your prints in lossless TIFF format, so you never have to pay extra to just get your images in TIFF format. You can choose to get your images back as JPEG, TIFF, or both!


  • Add a Thumbnail Album to your order to make finding a specific image really easy!


  • You can choose to have your prints put back in acid-free Envelopes and then have the envelopes neatly organized in a Photo File Box. If you order our archival storage for your negatives when you place your scanning order, we'll place your negatives in your new storage products as we scan for no additional charge! Then, when you get them back, they are neat, organized and ready to store.


  • Make a Slideshow Movie DVD from your prints! Watch the movie on your TV or on your computer! You can even add titles, chapter points, and your own music to make your Slideshow Movie special!


  • After your prints are scanned, you can choose to keep them safely stored online by signing up for an Expo subscription.

How Do I Get Started?

Print the mailing label. Want to use FedEx? It's built right in to our website. Our partnership with FedEx allows us to pass down a 10% FedEx discount on labels you print through our us.  You can even schedule FedEx to come to your door and retreive your boxes of photos and bring them to us.




PackOrganize and Label
If desired, group your photos and clearly label the groups with a name and the order that you would wish them to appear. Visit our Getting Ready page for some guidelines.

Don't have time to organize?  No problem. Just send us your box or boxes of photos and well take care of it for you.


Ship

Ship
Carefully pack up your photos and ship them to us. Visit our Shipping Tips page for suggestions.  We'll let you know as soon as we receive them.

Once we finish processing your photos you're able to view all of your photos on our website. We then ship everything back to you.
