MESA,
Ariz. – (April 2, 2007) – 69-year-old Ray Epps had boxes of 35mm
slides gathering dust at his home in Houston, but when he decided it would be a
great idea to preserve them for future generations his local photo shop was
unable to help. Instead they referred him to the Internet to locate a digital
scanning service.
While the thought of packing up precious memories and shipping them across the
country might seem diskoncerting to some, Epps decided to give Arizona-based
DigMyPics a try back in 2003. So far he has been thrilled with the results.
“I arrange the slides in the order I want, go online to fill out the order form,
print it and ship it to them in Arizona,” explains Epps. “I get an online
receipt the very day they receive the package and I’m kept informed at least
three times during the process. They’re quick to respond, quick to answer my
dumb questions and have a caring attitude. They make me feel like they really
need my business.”
Impressed with the company’s service and the quality of his first order, he
became a repeat customer and avid supporter of the company. After having more
than 7,600 slides transferred to high-quality digital files and cataloged on DVD
and CDRom, Epps now is preparing to have the company convert thousands of
personal photos to DVD format.
DigMyPics.com is a leading 35mm slide and photo transfer service company that is
celebrating five years of digitally preserving the past for its worldwide
customer base. With services ranging from photo restoration to print, slide and
negative scanning, DigMyPics! is helping businesses better manage their photo
libraries and families preserve cherished memories for generations to come.
“We understand that sending your photos off to some
faceless company you've never heard of can be scary,” says DigMyPics founder and
president Scott Crossen. “So not only do we invest in the best scanning
technology available, we also invest in the best employees around. We’re a
family run company and we only hire imaging professionals with university
degrees in photography and the arts.”
DigMyPics also has a strict set of safety and security
processes when it comes to handling its customer’s photos and slides, plus all
of its work is performed in a climate-controlled operations center in
Arizona. Crossen, a former software engineer, even
developed state-of-the-art tracking and processing software to ensure the
company knows exactly where its customers photos are throughout the entire
process – from the moment you ship them to the company until the moment they
arrive back at your home or office.
For Epps part, he says DigMyPics has lived up to its
promise and handled his valuable family photos and slides.
“My children and grandchildren are absolutely awed by the final product,” says
Epps. “After all, that is why we old folks do this – for our children and
grandchildren to view in the future.”
