8, 2007) – DigMyPics! has been making
people smile all over again for the past 5 years by helping them relive old memories
that have been stuck in closets and drawers for decades.
“But we wanted to do more.” Says Annette Crossen, one of the founders of
DigMyPics! “Our company is made up
of people with degrees in the arts and humanities.
People with big hearts who want to make a difference in the world and who
often volunteer their time to various community services.”
So the company decided to find a charity that they could help and feel good
about supporting. Annette found that
charity while watching a story on television one night that followed the work of
Operation Smile International. Operation
Smile goes around the world performing cleft palate surgeries on children born with
the face deforming birth defect. She contacted the organization the next day and
worked out the details. That was last
December and to date the company as donated more than $11,000 to the organization.
“We’re really proud of our relationship with Operation Smile and hope we can continue
to help fund and raise the visibility of this worthwhile cause.” says Annette.

to town, people come from miles away, often through difficult conditions, to get
the operation their children need. Unfortunately, Operation Smile lacks the resources
to provide the operation to every child that arrives and some have to be turned
away, their hopes dashed, and they travel back home disappointed and diskouraged.
