I am very pleased with my experience with digmypics. This was the first time that I have used a service for scanning slides, so I don't have anything to compare with, but my scans came out looking great and they were delivered within the estimated time frame. I also liked that digmypics was very communicative during the entire process so that I always knew the status of my order. The fact that they do all of the work in their office in AZ instead of sending them overseas is also a big plus for me. I will definitely use digmypics the next time I need scanning services.

seeing my pictures after 43 years I didn't think most would be worth keeping because of being to dark. Now after they were re-worked I'm glad I didn't throw them away. I am able to see again just what I wanted to capture at the time I took the picture.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for an excellent job on the conversions of my 35 mm slides to digital. It is coming out of the “Dark Ages” to the new world of digital.
Many of my generation took lots of slides during the 60 & 70, and they should have them converted so the Children and Grand Children can see these great pictures. It’s a great gift from Grandparents.
I was so pleased that my next project with 8 mm and Super 8 mm movies is just around the corner.

I cam across old, old slides my grandfather had taken when I was a little girl. I was thrilled to find them but between failing eyesight and the condition of the slides I was unable to see the images very well. I got on line and found digmypics, sent the slides off and couldn't have been more pleased with the results. In fact, I was so pleased that a few weeks later I found more slides and sent those off too. I would highly recommend using digmypics to preserve your precious memories.

Digmypics did a superb job in converting 102 35-mm slides into jpegs. They kept me updated along the way and allowed me to view the slides as they were scanned. I received the original slides and a CD that contained enhanced versions of my slides.
The only slight negative was that it took over 3 weeks from the time they received the slides until they were returned to me. Must have been a long queue in Phoenix.

I sent in the negatives from an out of date old drug store camera - no great quality. However, the subjects are important to us, and I wanted to make something of a gift out of these photos, which as prints are less than spectacular. The slide show DVD is quite lovely on the large television screen. It actually makes a nice decorative background on the television when it is not in use. Music works well, great titles, so much nicer than handing over those very mediocre prints.

After my father died we put all his photography equipment, pictures and slides in a cupboard for later. Well later finally came and I got the task of going through all the "memories". I found slides of us children when we were young (50+ years ago)but they were big, a slide I did not recognize. I called DigMyPics and one of the employees walked me through identifying the format and recommended a course of action. DigMyPics cleaned up the slides and sharpened the images. They are beautiful!

I found these super folks in a popular magazine article, and decided to try them out.
When I came to the web site, I immediately found a super professional atmosphere.
There are videos online to show the procedures, and from those, I felt absolutely sure this company was the right one to bring back my memories from the late 1960's.
So I sent off my rolls of 8mm film to have transfered to DVD.
And the professionalism doesn't stop there. They kept in touch with me every step of the way.
In this day and age where many companies miss the point in customer service, it is sooo refreshing to find folks like these.

I recently sent in old slides that I found to digmypics, they did such a fantastic job refurbishing them. Actually beyond perfect...Almost all of the slides (over 40 years old) were faded to have a slight pinkish tone. That's gone in all of them. There were a few slides that had really degraded color information. One was various shades of clover green. All these were restored to normal, fresh looking photos. Amazing.

I couldn't believe how well the slides came out. Having them converted into a TIFF file gave me huge pictures that never degrade no matter how much tweeking i do. We've had about 1000 slides done and have about 300 more to sort through. The children and grandchildren are thrilled to see those old photos. Thanks.

I have been very pleased with the service from digmypics in changing my old 8mm to dvd's. The process was easy and their service was fast, efficient and helpful. I presented these dvd's as family gifts, and the memories are priceless.

We had our family pictures, some very old, digitized by digmypics. The quality of some of the original pictures wasn't very good and some of the pictures were only 1 inch in size. They were able to increase the quality and size of the pictures so we could have better copies to print. We were able to pick up our pictures and the office is very clean and the staff is efficient and friendly. We recently located more old pictures that we want to have digitized and we will be taking them to digmypics -- thank you for a job well done!

The slides of the early years of our family would have been lost to nothing more than memories had I not sent them to digmypics. Your scanning service and transfer to CD was superb. I have had prints made of every one and they are proudly displayed in an album on my coffee table.

Digmypics.com did a great job of transferring 8mm film to DVD. Their service was fast, and I received everything just as their website promised. I would highly recommend Digmypics.

Task was to convert over 400 slides to digital/it was performed flawlessly. DigMyPics kept me involved as to status and posted me with helpful inquiries and direction(s) thru completion of task .
Their effort and finished product(s) exceeded my expectations and I would strongly recommend them to others.

Last month I ran across some old stereo slides my grandfather had taken and had no way to really look at them so I packed them up and sent them to Digmypics to transfer them to digital images. I just received them this week and am SO impressed by the results!! Seeing pictures of my family from so many years ago brought tears to my eyes. My family is totally pleased with the job your company did with our40+ year old slides. There were over 1000 slides I wheedled down from 2500. We had them done in tiff so they are big and very easy to crop and edit. Your individual enhancing of the slides is remarkable. Color correction is wonderful.

I did a fair bit of research online before deciding on digmypics to convert some 8mm film to DVD. I looked at ScanCafe and others sites. One of my primary reasons for selecting digmypics was that they are located in the U.S. and also do all their work here. Some companies may have a P.O. Box here, but then re-ship your stuff anywhere from the Bahamas to India. digmypics does all their stuff in Arizona. This meant I could ship my movies to them via USPS with tracking and know that when my stuff arrived there, it was at its final destination.
The quality came out very well, better than I'd expected. We had previously had the film converted to VHS in the '80s (back when the state-of-the-art consisted of pointing a camcorder at a projection screen), and that was the quality I was used to. When I finally saw the results, they were astounding. (One minor thing to be aware of is that technique used can cause the finished product to look like it "jumps" every now and then. It's not always noticeable (I noticed it, but my mother didn't), and is an artifact of the frame-by-frame conversion and the fact that 8mm film was designed to run at 16 fps while NTSC video runs at 29.97 fps. Some DVD players even detect this and correct for it. This will happen no matter who does your conversion -- it's the way the technology works.)
But by far one of the biggest benefits to digmypics is their amazing customer service. When I had questions about the scanned film, I received e-mail responses the same day, sometimes in as little as a couple of hours. (And of course, if you call, you can get responses instantaneously). The people you're calling/e-mailing actually have the details of your order and know what they're talking about. Their competitors could all use the exact same technology and I'd still go with digmypics again, because they clearly care about their customers and the work they do.

Wonderful from beginning to end. Just, finally, transfered them to my iPhoto and am truly impressed at what my 110 mm camera was able pt take and you were able to scan. Thank you.

Over the past three Winters, I have had digmypics process a bit over 5000 slides....many dating back over 50 years. Most had not been viewed since initial processing as we tended to just pull out the "best" pictures and view just them on an itermittent basis over the years. With full sets of pictures, we've had more fun than anyone can imagine reliving memories of living and traveling in Europe (Uncle Sam's idea), living and traveling around the US, and traveling abroad with family and friends. By digitizing, I can now edit the not so good slides, and add titles to refresh the kids memories many years from now. Best of all I can now give each of them personalized memories of their early years.

Our wedding pictures, taken by a friend back in 1956, had lost their proper color. I recently found the negatives and sent them in. I am really pleased with the results. Now I need to get prints made and put in an album.

On same day sent half my slides to digmypics, and the other half to Southtree because of a Groupon offer. Less than 3 weeks later Digmypics was done with my order and my slides turned out much better than I expected (I had tried a year earlier to do this myself). About the same time my Digmypics order was finished I get an email from Southtree telling me they are starting to process my slides. Now, 6 weeks after that notice... still nothing.
Not contest. Digmypics wins the day!

I am highly disappointed with my experience. First when I tried to use my gift certificate it was not recognized and I had to wait to see if the company would honor it. Once we received the disks we could not access our pictures. We tried two different computers to download our photos, but instead it would move photos that were already on our computer and none of our pictures came up! I am very frustrated with this whole experience.

I have many photos converted from stereo slides by your firm and I have been SO PLEASED. I have been recommending you to many of my friends here in Michigan. Look forward to you business picking up! Love you guys!

I sent a Betamax tape that was created in 1983 and pobably has been played in almost 20 years. My expectation that this tape could even be recovered were pretty low I will confess. And not only the tape was converted butthe results far exceeded my expectations. There was some degradation of the tape as expected, but the results was watchable, bringing back many memories. The B&W 35mm negatives were shot at Dinner Key in Florida around 1940. I needed the highest possible scan to try and identify specific aircrat pictured in them. The results in TIFF format allowed me to not only identify the types of aircraft but in two cases to narrow it to a specific aircraft. These will be the basis of a future article in a specialist publication on air operations out of Dinner Key. In both cases the results far exceeded my expectation and the prices were well in-line with what I would consider reasonable.

I thank you for your excellent job on reproducing the 8mm reels into DVD and thumb drive files. I received the package, applied a few songs into the project and it was done. The memories brought to life are priceless. Once again, Thank you on a job well done.

I am more than pleased with the timely, personalized service with my 145 slides and 60 pictures. They were carefully copied with appropriate ice use and color correction.
The opportunity to edit/delete the few that I did not need was an extra.
Next week I will be in touch with my personal friend who referred me to you.

DigMyPics converted several old color slides from the 1960s to high-resolution images on a CD for me. The service was excellent and the images are beautiful. Now I can print them in any size, email them, etc. The price was very reasonable and the work was superb!

Those slides date back into the 1940s . . . faded . . . darkened . . . turning brown . . . dirty. I hoped for the best, but the results you achieved exceeded any reasonable expectations. Certainly technology can accomplish wonders, but this couldn't have happened without the expertise and personal care of some very talented people. Did I say "Thank You?"

My father passed away in 2005. About 2 yrs ago I was going through some of his things and found a cigar box full of home movies from pre-1965. I have held onto them, not really knowing what to do with them. I recently came across them again and thought I should take care of saving this because those memories, you could never get back. The film was in horrible shape. Many broken sections and it was so brittle that I was afraid to touch it.
I found Digmypics and decided to give it a shot. The film was not any good to me in it's present condition.
Wow!! is all I can say. I was kept informed the entire process via email. When I received the external drive and DVD's, I really was surprised at the great restoration job. I'm sure people pay 5 times the money for the same quality. I took one copy to my mother over the weekend and she was very happy to see these 'lost' moments in time.
I am looking forward to boxing up all my pre-digital age photos and sending them in next!!

I read these testimonials before using digmypics and was certain they were fake. They really seemed too good to be true.
I have to admit it was very scary sending my old slides in the mail (I shipped priority mail - which was cheapest way for me). For a couple of days, I was in limbo, hoping they would arrive; then I got an email saying they had. What a relief.
However, the slides were not scanned for a week, which seemed like a lifetime. They were just sitting in queue. Before scanning actually started, my credit card was charged for half the cost. More worry. Was this a legitimate company?
But then, I saw my slides as they were scanned and was thrilled. Once scanned, I was able to delete some pics, but I ended up keeping blurry pictures as I felt that old blurry pics of deceased family members were better than no pics!
I was advised when my slides and disk were shipped back to me. They were sent back Fed Ex Ground and arrived safe and dry.
Overall, my experience was very positive. My questions were answered in a timely fashion and work and service performed in a professional manner.

The scans of my 250 slides turned out as well as I could have hoped, even for those as old as 1963. I appreciated being kept informed during the process. I'll be sending some more.

I knew that my slides needed to be digitalized, but I had no idea that these would look so good. They were my father's from the 1970's of us growing up. They are crystal clear. When I heard about your service from my brother who had some of our 40-year old pictures from slides digitized, I decided to go into "that box" of really old pictures from the early 1900s that had been in my family and were just sitting there. The pictures were in pretty bad shape having been taped or glued to black paper or just stacked in a decaying cardboard box. I suppose the quality of film from those days was pretty good because once they were digitized, they looked amazing! These are not the typical hi-resolution pictures you use for web use, but these are old family pictures that are now memorialized and saved from further decay! It's amazing what a great job you did. Thanks for preserving a hundred years of family memories!

This was my first time using digmypics and I sent them a very small order to take 15 slides and convert them to digital images (FYI, I've tried it with my own scanner- a good one - but the quality was not acceptable). The quality is great and they have given me a new challenge; to go thru 12 years of slides taken by my father in the 60's and 70's. I hope to convert 100's more thru digmypics.

I just received my first order of 100 slides converted to Digital on two CDs.
Some of the slides were 40 years old.
Many were taken during my early years in the U.S. Navy and contain great memories of places visited.
Now I have these images in digital format and can share them on my Blog and also with my Siblings who reside in the Mid-West, while I enjoy mild Georgia U. S. A. Winters full time.
The quality of the images was terrific.
Today, I will go through more slides to submit another order. I hope to conclude the conversion from slides to digital with my efforts today, January 20, 2012.
Of course while I am sorting the slides I want scanned I am also eliminating a lot of poor shots taken way back when. In addition to the CDs they also return your original slides.
While few have 35MM Slide Projectors I still do and I also enjoy the slides in this manner.
As regards the conversion process, I was able to view the preliminary scans and to reject those I did not desire on the CDs. I rejected four of the 100 submitted.
Additionally I was provided a software tool where I could convert the images on the CSs to read/write. I have uploaded the images to my Computer and have edited several to improve the color or to crop sections out of the images.
I have no other experience with companies that scan slides; however I will say, I will rely on this firm to complete my project - converting slides to digital.
While I did not order any DVD's I understand that it is possible to make a movie along with appropriate music.
This firm is impressive. As regards customer service: I was able to communicate via E-Mail about my order and received rapid responses. This firm believes in keeping the customer satisfied and also very happy. I found them on the WWW and I appreciate the service I have receive.

We had approx 1000 old slides from as far back as 1967 put on DVD,s.The whole process was very easy and the results could not have been any better. Besides cleaning out a closet full of slide trays we now have the pictures where they are easy to access and enjoy.

I received my slides and CD's back today, and after final review, I want to say that I am extremely pleased with your service and would recommend it to anyone. The quality of the photos are fantastic and are well worth the cost.

It was made a most enjoyable experience by your easy to follow step by step process including your inbound label printing, in process and final reviews, and in process email notifications.

I can now enjoy them along with sharing them with some of my old friends.

I had several old 8MM movies I took while in the Navy back in 1971. They are old and getting brittle. I recently reunited with my old shipmates whom I have not seen in nearly 40 years. I told them about the old movies with many of them in it as well as shipboard operations on a vessel that has been decommissioned since 1975. I took a chance on digmypics not knowing if I would lose these precious films or get scammed as I found them on the Internet. There were a few issues like parts out of sequence (I was a contributor!) and finally an unreadable DVD. digmypics made everything right! Color and focus is fantastic...looks great on my LCD TV. I cant wait to show my old shipmates! I strongly recommend and will engage digmypics again!

Some large format black & white negatives from 60 years ago showing our small town high school graduation ceremonies became available. Digmypics worked with them and put them on DVD. Now I can share with my schoolmates. Digmypics allowed me to pick and choose what I would finally select and pay for, but I wound up taking them all even though one negative had a bad spot.

My three brothers and I "stole" mom's pictures that she has stored in several boxes throughout her house. We sent them to you to have them digitized for a surprise Christmas present. She is 84 years old and is having the best time seeing these pictures on her HDTV. They are much larger than the little prints she was so accustomed to viewing. There is detail that none of us has ever noticed. Long lost relatives are seen in the background as well as long lost pets that were not noticed before. It was a great Christmas idea and our mother is having the time of her life seeing these "new" large pictures from the comfort of her favorite chair without dragging out all thoses boxes.

I first learned of DigMyPics from the Wall Street Journal maybe 5 years back... I always remembered the name but still wasn't "ready" for finally assembling my project and paying "someone else" to scan for me.
So, first job I sent was a few years ago: all of my honeymoon slides (yes slides) from 1995. I'd tried scanning myself on a Canon slide scanner and then later a very recent flat-bed... while I could do the scans myself (ignoring about 1 minute a piece for about 600 slides) I wasn't comfortable with optimizing them color/exposure wise. Needless to say, DigMyPics really did a GREAT post-scan job in terms of correction. I simply could not have done it myself, and, my biggest holdback in finally getting this project done was worrying that it was done right the first time. I have no doubt that DMP brought my memories to digital as best as can be done.
This past month I had them do the rest of my 20 years of photos with my darling bride. About 1600 negatives. Again, I'm very happy that they are FINALLY on my Mac and I know that the best possible scanning and correction has been applied.
So, sorry for the rambling comments - but I really do appreciate this company - the prices are fair, the work is top-notch, and as I've said, the peace-of-mind I have that my memories are now digital (and optimal) is very much worth it. They'll be getting my 8mm video tapes next!

It was amazing how you could restore the film. Some of the 8mm was about 55 years old and smelled bad. Probably needed lots of splicing. I recently also sent you a few hundred slides and I have a few hundred more to send. I am very pleased with the speed of service, the phone calls and the e-mail responses. This was my third order. Christmas is always a rush to get things done. As fate would have it I was a few days late in getting my 800+ pictures in for scanning; an intended Christmas gift(s) of Digital Picture Frames for our two sons.
The intended gifts took on a special meaning for us as both our sons are now young adults working in different states. We desperately wanted to remind them of the deep family roots that serve to tie us together.

As a Christmas gift to my family, I ordered our family slides digitized in 4 sets of high & low resolution and thumbnail printed guides.
As the holidays are a very busy for this company, you need to allow extra time for a large project. My order did not arrive as specified, but the very pleasant & helpful customer service folks tried to rectify by Christmas, however, there was not enough time.
Ultimately, I received all items ordered and the scanning job is high quality. Slides/photos were not grouped & labelled as I had requested, and I suggest customers package and label into groups exactly how they want them to avoid confusion. However, I was not charged extra for smaller groupings, so that was good.
My family is thrilled with the quality of the scans, and happy to each have their own copies of our family slides.

Just received my originals and the DVD's containing my digital photos. The results are jaw-dropping. Excellent work and thank you very much for the high quality results and excellent communication.

I just want to tell you how wonderful you employees did with the scans of our photos. We sent you some old faded photos that were from years ago. They were to be used on the occasion of my husband's 80th birthday. The person who did the enhancing of the photos did a great job because the scans looked a lot better than the originals. Really. I am a repeat customer. As I go back to my legacy collection of 35mm slides, I have had digmypics do the scanning. I have selected the high-res files, and they have done a good job. When they come back I only have to do a bit of dust-spotting and some color and contrast tweaks, but overall my photos are looking better than new.

I mailed in a number of slides to have converted on a cd. This was completed in a very short time and were returned in excellent condition and the photos were clear and exactly what I had in mind.

Slides from 40 years ago look as good as the day they were taken. Many of the original outdoor sports pictures were overexposed and washed out. Photoshop has restored all of them to full saturation.

A few years ago I used your service and was pleased with quality , efficiency and prices. This time I am even more satisfied with your business practices - thanks for constantly keeping me in the info loop - and the results of your work.

I've been using Dig My Pics for a few years now, but I just used them for family photos dating back as far as the 1930s. Most were loose photos, but many on album pages that were falling apart. I was very nervous about sending them in.
I just received my order the other day and was pleasantly surprised. After downloading them, I compared the hard copy photos to the digital ones. The photos that were almost completely faded were vibrant! Colors that were so faded came to life!

I sent about 800 feet of old (1950s and 60s) 8mm family home movies to DigMyPics, but didn't have very high hopes that they would be able to salvage the brittle old film that had been spliced and viewed many times, then put away in storage since 1965. WOW! Was I surprised! I am thrilled with the pictures. In two weeks I went from having slides I could not view to pictures to enjoy and print for children and grandchildren.

Digmypics.com did an outstanding job on converting my family's 35mm slides from the 1960's & 70's. My father, being technology inclined, wanted to travel to Alabama to show my aunt their baby pictures and early childhood. Well when you have 400 35mm slides and an old antique slide projector it might be a problem to try to fly or even transport the whole setup. I started looking for a way to convert the slide to digital media. Again I am extremely pleased with the whole process, especially being able to see the scanning of the slides live. To begin with, they were very reasonably priced, they were able to take some films that were over 50 years old and make them seem almost new, they were fairly quick about getting the copies made and returning them to us. I wasn't sure how i was going to take all of the old baby photos and use them in a nice and newer digital slideshow i was making for my wedding. I ran across dipmypics and thought it sounded like a great idea. I was still worried though, sending precious and irreplaceable photos in the mail to some company. But digmypics took great care of my photos, even packaged them up better on their way back then i sent them! What a Great experience working with Digmypics staff. My project was a Major one which included over 6000 pictures that went from my parents parents in the 1850's to present day and with old 2 inch black and whites and old, old brown prints and over 2000 slides along with Video, I was able to put into ONE format, digital, a Family tree and history for our family and friends to view. The ability to have uploaded into Picasa and then to pick pictures to upload to the web and email is terrific.
Over a 6 month period I sorted Albums(over 30) from my parents estate and my own and my childrens' ... I went thru each album and took out the photo's I wanted to have scanned then threw away the remaining albums. After talking to the folks at DigMyPics numerous times as to how to sort into Files, I put the YEAR on manila envelopes and began just putting the pictures into the envelope with correct Year..... This actually was so each File was named with the Year of the pictures.
The staff at DigMyPics was a tremendous help all along the way..
I would recommend that you have any large project copied to an external Drive by DigMyPics...in addition to the DVD's and Picasa upload.
I am so sold on my experience that I am making a presentation to over 50 residents here at Sun City,SC in December on Digitizing via DigMyPics of their family Photo's..

I've tried four other scanning services (local and national) for slides, and thus far, Digmypics does the best job. The others would not get the entire image (cropping off too much from one side or other) and did a poor job with dark images. Digmypics does an excellent job bringing out underexposed images.
The online ordering and review process is quick and easy.

I have reviewed all of my order and am very satisfied, and only took a few weeks. It is great to have 45 years of family photos reduced to just three DVDs. The ability to see them all screen size is just great. I am sorry I did not do this sooner. I will soon make copies of these to send off to my seven children as Christmas presents.

I've scanned those old slides at 4000 ppi and then attempted to photoshop the output with dismal results. What I've seen online, created by Digmypics (I haven't received the cds as yet)is far better than anything I've been able to do for myself. This was a test. I was so pleased that I will likely have Digmypics scan the remainder of my slides. That brings to mind all the VHS tapes of the family at Christmas over the years, interviews with the Grandparents now gone . . .

I sent in my full set of slides from my experiences in the war in Vietnam -- every picture I took the whole year. As slides, they were the originals, so I was a little apprehensive about sending them off to a company I did not know much about. I had them in a slide carousel (a special cartridge for a slide projector). I sent the entire carousel so I would not disturb the 40-year old slides in there. The resulting digitized images were great -- much better than the originals. I could not have asked for anything better. And, my son was astounded to learn that my hair was not white my whole life, and that I actually was young once. Overall, the results were terrific and I would recommend DigMyPics to anyone.

The service was exactly as described, everything was done on time and according to plan, I was very happy with the scanned photos. The only problem I had was my fault: somehow my email program decided that email from sales@digmypics.com was spam, so I never got the emails I should have. I was unhappy until I figured it out. It was my fault! So check your spam folder once in a while.

I had just over 1500 slides to scan for an upcoming 50th birthday surprise party. I contemplated doing this myself as but decided against it due to lack of time and high cost of a decent scanner.I also waited too long and was in a time crunch.
The customer service folks suggested I actually create 2 orders with the first one the priority if they couldn't get them all done in time. I organized the slides by tray (numbering each according to slot) packed them up and shipped them off.
Bottom line: They got ALL 1500 slides completed and returned to me in under 3 weeks. I had both jpg and tiff images on a set of DVDs. I was able to review and select the slides I wanted to keep online. When I completed that, I was able to automatically upload to Picasa (nice feature). The quality is better than I could have achieved and the time savings is priceless.

If you have any type of processed film—whether it be negative or slide—and you are looking to reclaim these treasures digitally. Look no further! You could spend hours and days trying to get a few slides done in terrible scan resolution doing it by yourself. Well forget those hours wasted removing the dust particles manually. Just leave it to the pros!
I sent my mounted slides and unmounted slides for scanning the results were jawdroppingly outstanding in 4000dpi digital quality. You can see every little detail in facial texture with very very minimal film grain. It's amazing!! I've never been able to get that detail ever and I've been trying to rescan negatives for awhile with minimal luck.

DygMyPics did a great job scanning my slides. I had them scan slides that i had taken of my work, some dating back to the 1970's. These slides were important to me as they are the only record I have of this work. I suppose my main concern was, what kind of care some "strangers" were taking of my slides. They kept me more informed than I could have imagined and had a very quick turnaround. I would reccomend them to anyone!

I was very impressed with the results of the film transfer. The film was covered in mold which was thoroughly removed. Even with the permanent damage caused by the mold I was able to retrieve the only known pictures of some family members. I needed to get digital copies of some old slides for my in-law's 60th wedding anniversary. At first I used a different company on a trial basis and it took more than 3 months to receive the copies, and the quality didn't seem that great.
I tried your company next and was amazed at the quality of the reproductions and the easy and quick service. I needed these reproductions by a certain date and received them in plenty of time to have photo books made for the big day.
Having owned my own company for many years I am always impressed by good customer service and a company who seems to care about the quality of their product and satisfaction of their customers. One particular advantage was having the option to delete 20% of the slides without a charge - there aren't that many slide projectors around these days, so it was a very helpful and frugal way to delete all those slides the kids took which were just black smudges.

I started with a small amount of 35mm slides, as a test, and then went to almost 700 of them and 20 mini cassettes and they did everything perfectly. I had a minor Zip shipping issue and their staff took care of it right away. "I actually spoke to a REAL PERSON, imagine that, customer service" I am now sending them 11 VHS tapes. I had over 100 slides from 1968 and 1969 in Vietnam. Digmypics did a fantastic job on converting them to .jpg files. They removed all the specs and corrected the color. They even brought images out of the shadows that I thought were lost forever.

I had some 35mm slides from the late 1940s with slightly faded colors. The scanned pictures eliminated dust flecks and rejuvenated the colors. Very nice job.

This was the second time I have used digmypics. The digital results of 133 35mm slides were excellent, better that the original slides, which were taken in 1968-70. My husband and I are both long time professionals and we are blown away at how perfectly this company executes! They do a good job scanning (in my case slides, they communicate thoroughly with the customer,they provide a range of services and options that one can take or leave, they scan your media here in America and they do all of this for a fair price. They have now scanned over 3,000 of my lifelong collection of 12,000+ slides and I trust them to do a great job on the next 9,000. I admit to being hesitant to handing over irreplaceable 40-year old family 35mm slides to a company in another state for digitizing, but I was thrilled with the entire experience from beginning to end.
Once I placed my order, any question that I had was answered quickly -- by a human being -- either over the phone or via e-mail. I could keep track of my order step-by-step online and when my slides were scanned and uploaded to the Digmypics web site, I was floored by how well they turned out.
But what really made this the one company that I will always turn to for digitizing my memories was when a GIGANTIC and unexpected expense hit my family before I could complete my order. I contacted customer service and they gave me as much time as it would take to pay my balance and complete my order. Granted, it only took an extra two weeks, but they COULD have been nasty about it. They weren't. As soon as I ordered my final scans (deleting 40 pics that I didn't want), I received both my DVDs and my original slides in pristine condition in a matter of four days. Amazing.

I was so pleased that I have already put together a 200-slide order with digmypics for my ex-wife of her year as a foreign exchange student in Belgium and Rome back in 1979. She is getting her Master's degree in August and that will be a nice gift from her ex to show how proud I am of her. The service was great, and the several updates and progress reports were reassuring. The one thing I did not like was the high shipping charge that had not been disclosed until after all was done, to the best of my knowledge. It added about 30% to my bill. I was supprised, disapponged, and not encouraged to use this service again.

This was a very happy first experience with digmypics! I sent about 300 pictures of my kids' early and middle childhood, some of them not in great shape. From the start, they were treated with highly professional respect; communication about them was excellent, and every step in restoring and digitalizing them was not just clear but reassuring. I sent in 7 rolls of 8mm film taken between 1944 and 1957. These were passed on to me by my parents, and the contents and condition of the films were unknown. They turned out to be a family treasure, with clips of my parents, brothers, grandfather and other close relatives. Digmypics did an outstanding job preparing the film and completing the transfer. The DVD was well done, and I also got the uncompressed scans so I can do some further editing of my own. The whole process couldn't have been any better.

I sent 185 photos to be digitized and made into a rehearsal dinner slide show for my son's wedding. Half of the photos were from her side of the family, half from ours. I asked the photos to be randomized and set to specific music, which I sent along on a CD. During the production time there was a tiny problem, INSTANTLY resolved.
When I watched the DVD for the first time I laughed and cried! It seemed like the videographer was very aware of putting the "right" photos in the right places, to go with the mood and lyrics of the songs. I didn't ask for that, it was his own creative input and was right on the money. For instance, in one song there is a mention of snow and ice, and he inserted the photo with my son curling. The whole slide show is fun, professional, and very, very wonderful.
My only complaint is that this slide show is so wonderful,I will have a hard time getting the guests to mingle and visit for the cocktail hour! They will be glued. Great job. Ten stars. THANKS AGAIN!

The Dig My Pics team that worked on my family's photos (Angela, Liz, Daniel, Ryan and Julie) did a superlative job that will thrill every member of my gigantic family. I submitted 550 prints of all sizes (from 11x14 to tiny crops in contact sheets). They dated back to 1956-1958, were mostly black-and-white, and had deteriorated significantly. I just received my disks with the negatives I sent in to be scanned less than two weeks ago. I am on deadline as my sister's 50th birthday is coming up and I want to give her the baby book that she, as the youngest, never had.
I had used DigMyPics several years ago but came across a new stash of much older negatives. The quality of work is quite impressive. Some negatives that I thought were beyond saving are showing quite well.

The work you have done in modifying, cropping, colorizing, etc has made me look like a good photographer - which I am not.
I have viewed all these pics in slide form many times by projecting them on a screen or wall but now they are clearer, sharper; overexposures and underexposures have been corrected, the Ektachrome pics which had become discolored have been nearly restored to their original color.
In summary, I couldn't have asked for a better job. My sincere thanks to the person/persons who worked on my order.

This was important to me as I was a little nervous about sending the only copies of my precious photos to a company I had never worked with. I am truly impressed with how easy it was. I have about 500 pictures I want to have digitized but only sent 150 of them to digmypics in order to try out the service. Needless to say, I've already send out my second order.

I could not be more pleased to have my collection of 40 years of slides and negatives--over 10,000 photos--converted to digital scans. DigMyPics did an excellent job and returned all my photos in the same order as I shipped them. I highly recommend having DigMyPics transfer large scanning orders to an external hard drive. For me, since I prefer to work only with the space-grabbing TIFF scans, it was definitely the easiest way to manage and download them. Now I can much more easily go through my collection and choose my favorites to go back to DigMyPics for higher resolution scanning. My choice of DigMyPics for this large project was the right one. I would recommend them to anyone who has years of pre-digital photos they want preserved and organized.

We had these old slides that we took starting back in the fifties when we got married. Looked through them and selected 350 that we needed to get in digital format. I sent in nearly 300 slides to scan at a higher resolution. Kodachrome, Ektachrome, Agfa Scala B&W.
The scans were top notch, as true to the originals as could be. Their service and "workflow" terrific. Excellent email reply with each message archived with your order. Things could not have gone smoother.

This is the first time I sent my slides out to get digitized and put on a DVD. I opted for the highest DPI as I wanted the slides to come out at the sharpest resolution possible. I wasn't disappointed as I am very pleased with the outcome. If I had more slides to process, I would have them done here. I think the price was very reasonable. I was extremely pleased that I could see the finished photos online and could delete any of them that I didn't want. That way, I only paid for the slides that I thought looked the best. They certainly had the customer in mind when they created this great service.

I'm really pleased with the scans of archive photos from my days as a newspaper photographer, and as a staff photographer with World Wrestling Entertainment. I sent DigMyPics a package of big prints (11x14 and up), as well as 35mm and 4x5 slides. All the material was from my portfolio, and they did a great job of bringing the old work up to date as top quality digital scans. I was very pleased with the scan of 300 pictures that I sent to Dig My Pics. This saved me countless hours so I can get on with the hobby that I really love which is scrapbooking and creating digital Story Books. I can't wait to get more pictures gathered up to send.

More than 15 years ago most wedding photography was not digital. It comes with an incredible surprise that I now have all of my wedding photos scanned and saved to a disc - in very high quality condition! It looks as if they were taken from a digital camera - and not photo 35mm film saved in a storage bin for 15 years! I can now save, print or email my photos - not too mention, I have them available for easy access, viewing and storing!
I was very skeptical about sending my most cherished memories (to include ALL of my wedding negatives) thru the mail and across the country - and believe that they would be returned by some company that I merely found on the web and thru a Google search... but not only were they returned - but the were returned in a more than satisfactory condition and extremely fast time frame!

I've had scans of my old 1970s negatives done elsewhere, but have always been disappointed. However, Dig-My-Pics literally brings them back to life again! I had an idea that I wanted to transfer some old movies to DVD for a long time. I finally got up the nerve and did some google searches and found digmypics.
After reading through their web site and their testimonials, etc....I decided to give it a test run with 3 movies. It went great! They did exactly what I asked, when I called with questions they had the answers. I quickly sent in my balance of 6 more tapes and had them all put on one DVD.
I had them make 5 copies of the final DVD and I sent these out as christmas gifts! I can't tell you how happy my family was seeing movies of themselves from the 1950s that we would have never seen otherwise.

Having digmypics scan my old photos was the perfect solution for me. I am in the process of creating a family photo album from all of the old pictures I have that are sitting in a box. Problem was, they are all different sizes and some have discolored. You did an excellent job of scanning, color correcting and putting photos on a CD for a permanent record. Now I can toss all of the old photos and negatives. Also, the high res scans allow me to use Photoshop to resize the pictures, so I no longer have to deal with 8 x 10s and 3 x 3s -- all can be resized to 4 x 6s so they fit beautifully in the new photo album! Thanks again for making this project possible and fun!! End results are turning out beautifully. I will use digmypics again and recommend you to friends.

I had a LOT of OLD (1947 - 1983) 8mm & Super8 movie film digitized and was SO pleased with the results. I decided to try some 35 mm slides - while I knew the results would be terrific, I had held off due to budget considerations as I have thousands of slides to do and I COULD do them myself - I'm pretty good with computers and such. so started, using a variety of low-cost and not-so-low-cost scanners at home. I compared the original film to your enhanced version and was amazed how you were able to bring back the original color. The film now plays very smooth as opposed to the jittery version from the projector. Now I can easily play them in the DVD player without having to setup the entire movie production. Had several sets made. The oldest slides were almost 66 years old. I can see details that I do not remember seeing when they were shown on a slide screen. In general, some were better than my expectation, others less. The problem always seemed to be "too dark", with subsequent loss of definition in the too dark areas. Not sure where the difficulty lies in this problem.

My parents recently found a number of old slide carousels and asked if I could help them do something with them. I attempted to scan them in myself which was painfully time consuming and the quality was terrible. I found digmypics.com online and sent my slides to them (300+ slides). I had 600 of my parents' prized possessions: slides over a 60-year marriage. A small survey and one test batch led me to digmypics. I sent several batches to prevent any transport mishap from wiping out the entire collection. The results are wonderful. The digmypics service is very definitely all it promises, and economical.
My only complaint is that it's impossible to review scans without seeing the full resolution scan *and* the slide. There are several scans that are not sharp; some the left side is in focus but not the right, etc. These were slight defects that were not important for my purpose. If I needed superb scans on every slide, I'd need to review each carefully and send a few slides for a second round.
But again -- this is a superb service. And don't even think of doing this yourself for 600 slides. The cost to your life expectancy will far exceed the digmypics bill.

Thanks to DigMyPics we were able to add more photos to a previous order and make a complete set. The duplicate DVD's came out very well and are going to other family members. This helped all of us decide 'what to do' with such a variety of precious old family photos. Thank you again

We had 10 400 foot reels of 8mm movies of our children and family from 1961 to 1976. The projector was broken and none of the children had one. So it was wonderful to convert them to digital format on DVDs. The quality was as good as the original and nothing was missing. I have sent copies to all the children and have the original digital data on a drive and in my computer. I hope to use Adobe Premiere elements 9 to add music and voice as well as more titles. The online viewing before delivery allowed me to put the reels in proper order and add titles. A very nice service and I am quite happy. I wish you also did 16 mm of which I have another 12 400 foot reels.

When I made the decision to transfer about 5,000 slides to DVD, the work you had done for my family some years ago prompted me to contact you. I have been delighted to find that you have made visible the dark interiors of many cathedrals! The quality of the slides on DVD is excellent, but my real appreciation is for your instantly helpful and patient response to the problems I created in sending my orders, each of which required specialized attention in some different way. Your Customer Service rates no less than A++++ and I enjoy recommending you to family and friends: anyone who thinks maybe they should follow my example and transfer their photos to DVD, as the project makes such good sense. I know my children approve of my doing this now, so they never have to face those 26 carousels in that closet at some future date. Habitat for Humanity welcomed my projector, screen and carousels for a local school!

I sent my parents' collection of slides to be digitized, as a gift for their 60th anniversary. The whole process went very smoothly. Helpful customer service reps answered all my questions when I called, the scans look great, and the slides are back home safely.

Once I sent in the film reels, it didnt take long for them to be uploaded so I could rearrange and title the reels. Some parts of the film were dark (they were lighter than the original) but it was still worth it! Once I completed editing everything it didnt take long for them to show up at the door step. This is going to make a great gift!

We were very pleased with our finished DVD. I thought the music was really nice and varied.
If I could add a constructive criticism, it would be that when you offer a final review of the slides, I would have liked the option to move some slides to a different order. I noticed in my final product that I had some slides that were noticeably out of order.

As a test and first order I send you 63 of the 400 or so 35mm slides that I wanted to have digitized. I was quite impressed with my experience. First and foremost, I was able to track the FEDEX shipment to you. You even provided me with a convenient way of printing out a a FEDEX shipping label. Next you notified during each step of production until the digitization was complete and the return of my slides via FEDEX was made. You even offered to send the digitized files to my exulting Phanfare account. How cool was that! I immediately shared them online with my brother and nephew.

The slides you transferred to a DVD were taken by my brother in 1954-56 and have been in a closet for all these years. They are the only close reminders of him for me and my 8 siblings. DigMypic did a great job in converting my 35 mm slided taken in 1965 on Ektachrome film to a digital format. Then they added their magic touch to them and they are better than new and no more slide boxes to deal with. The people were the best from top to bottom and kept me informed along the way. I have had this company do over 7000 family negatives, some slides, some photos for scanning. They have been most accommodating- it did take a really long time to do the 1st batch of about 7000 (!!- so many - ALL family pics for generations!!)- about 2 months but it was a busy time (holiday)- normally not this long. My recent order of 700 things was done in 1 1/2 weeks- AND both times when it seemed color on some sets did not appear right- they went back & corrected it all. Those pesky tiny 126's!! Great- always nice, corrected many things, helped over the phone, etc, went the extra distance for customer satisfaction, do Tifs (yay- I am archiving all) and jpgs, stays in the US. I highly recommend & I am very fussy as have done 1000's of scans myself & do a lot of photography

Our family had 33 years of recorded memories on 27 3" reels and 20 5" reels. This is about 6000 ft of 8mm film. We all knew the film was old and would not last much longer.
The transfer of 8mm flim to a DVD format was all new to us. So I sent in a 1956 3" test reel to Digmypics.
After it was converted to a DVD, our family reviewed the DVD. The entire family was very impressed and told me to send in all 6000 ft of 8mm film.
It took seven DVD's to convert the family memories the way we wanted it. We then had six DVD copie sets made for us and all the kids.
The DVD sets were shipped by FedX and we received them in 3 days.
All DVD's turned out excellent!
